ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் என்றால் என்ன?

தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பத் துறையில் கணினிக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக மிகப்பெரிய சந்தைப் பொருள் மொபைல் போன்கள் ஆகும். கணினிகளில் நாம் செய்யும் கிட்டத்தட்ட அனைத்து வசதிகளும் தற்போது மொபைல்களில் வந்துவிட்டன. மொபைல் சந்தைகளின் எதிர்காலத்தை ஓரளவு கணித்த கூகுள் நிறுவனம் ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் என்னும் இயங்குதளம் மூலம் மொபைல் சந்தையில் களமிறங்கியது.

ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் இயங்குதளம் தொடர்ந்து மேம்படுத்தப்படும். ஒவ்வொரு தடவை மேம்படுத்தப்படும் போதும் பழைய பதிப்பில் உள்ள பிழைகள் களையப்பட்டு புதிய வசதிகள் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்படும். ஒவ்வொரு பதிப்பிற்கும் இனிப்புவகை உணவுகளின் பெயர்களை வைத்துள்ளது கூகுள்.

ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் சிறப்பம்சங்கள்:


1. Customize Home Screen - மொபைலின் முகப்பு பக்கத்தை நம் விருப்பப்படி Widget-களை வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்.

2. Threaded SMS - நாம் அனுப்பும் எஸ்எம்எஸ்கள் வழக்கமான தோற்றத்தில் இல்லாமல், Threaded SMS என்ற புதிய தோற்றத்தில் இருக்கும். Chat-ல் இருப்பது போன்று ஒருவருடன் நாம் அனுப்பும்/பெறும் எஸ்எம்எஸ்கள் ஒரே வரிசையில் இருக்கும்.

3. Web Browser - கணினிகளில் பயன்படுத்தும் உலவி போன்றே இதுவும் பயன் தருகிறது. முழுமையான FLASH வசதி இருப்பதால் யூட்யூப் போன்ற விடியோக்களை பார்க்கலாம். தற்போது வந்துள்ள ஐஸ்க்ரீம் சான்ட்விச் பதிப்பில் க்ரோம் உலவியின் தொழில்நுட்பம் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

4. Google Apps - கிட்டத்தட்ட அனைத்து ஆண்ட்ராய்ட் மொபைல்களிலும் கூகுள் அப்ளிகேஷன்கள் Default-ஆக நிறுவப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் பயன்பாடு:

ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் மொபைல் (அல்லது டேப்லட்) வாங்கியவுடன் அதனை உங்கள் கூகுள் கணக்குடன் இணைக்க சொல்லும். அப்படி இணைத்தால் தான் Android Application Market உள்பட மேலதிக வசதிகளை பயன்படுத்த முடியும்.

ஆன்ட்ராய்டில் பல வசதிகள் இருந்தாலும் இது அளவில்லாத இணைய இணைப்பு (Unlimited Internet Connection) உள்ளவர்களுக்கு மட்டுமே பயனாகும். ஏனெனில் பல அப்ளிகேசன்கள் இணைய இணைப்பில் தான் வேலை செய்கிறது.

Android Market:

ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் மார்க்கெட் என்பது ஆன்ட்ராய்ட் அப்ளிகேசன்களை பதிவிரக்குவதர்கான சந்தை ஆகும். இங்கு இலவசமாகவும், பணம் கொடுத்தும் பதிவிறக்கிக் கொள்ளலாம். நீங்கள் பணம் கட்டி வாங்கும் அப்ளிகேசன்கள் உங்களுக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை என்றால், பதினைந்து நிமிடத்திற்குள் திரும்பக் கொடுத்து பணத்தை திரும்பப் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம்.

Nokia’s Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 leak, PureView coming to Windows Phone 8

 

 If today’s leaks are correct, Nokia is set to announce new Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 smartphones, bringing its highly-praised PureView technology to its line of Windows Phone devices.

In renders provided by Twitter user EvLeaks (via The Verge), both the Lumia 820 and the Lumia 920 are shown in various different colors, sporting similar designs to earlier Lumia models.

Lumia 920

The Lumia 920 is said to feature a 4.5-inch screen, launching as Nokia’s biggest smartphone to date. However, the big news is that the company will include PureView optics in this handset, delivering high-resolution photos similar to the Nokia 808 PureView.

Not much else is known about the device, other than that the Lumia 920 will be the device which is codenamed ‘Phi.’

Lumia 820

The Nokia 820 (codenamed Arrow), is expected to feature a 4.3-inch display, launching in a number of vibrant colors if the renders are indeed accurate.

We’ve spoken with sources close the situation and from what we can tell, these images are close to the final products Nokia will launch at its upcoming event. Nokia is due to hold its Windows Phone 8 launch event in New York City on September 5, finally confirming the specifications and launch dates for the device.

Apple will now give you up to $345 for your old iPhone 4S

If reports are true, Apple is days away from announcing its next-generation iPhone, the long-awaited follow-up to its fast-selling iPhone 4S. If you’re already shuddering at the thought of paying out for the new device, Apple can help you offset the cost by offering you up to $345/£300 for your device, depending on its condition.

Using Apple’s Reuse and Recycle program, you are able to select the model, color and condition of your iPhone 4S (and other Apple devices) from the online wizard, which will then output a price that it believes your device is worth. While a 64GB iPhone 4S will command $345, other models will be valued lower.

If you agree and are able to send the power cable along with it, Apple’s recycling partners will then send you a gift certificate, which can be redeemed against a new purchase on its online store.

Perfect, if you’re waiting for the new iPhone to launch and don’t want that cash burning a hole in your pocket.

As you’d expect, pricing differs depending on whether the iPhone has been subjected to scratches or is suffering from water damage.

Third-party services might be able to provide you with greater cashback value on your device, but Apple’s service (which is provided by separate companies in the US and UK) will ensure that the money you get is eligible for the Apple Store only, reducing the chances of squandering it on other purchases.

Apple does say that the service provider will determine the device’s value when it is received, which is then awarded in the form of an Apple Gift Certificate. So, if you lie on the form, you will not receive the quoted value.

Last year, Apple was offering $200 for a 16GB iPhone 4, following the announcement of the iPhone 4S.

Reports suggest the new iPhone will be announced on September 12 and will start shipping on September 21. Hopefully, you won’t be waiting long to get your hands on Apple’s new smartphone.

Samsung Pays Apple $1 Billion Sending 30 Trucks Full of 5 Cents Coins

This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially,  the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that  they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way. the funny part is that the signed document does not specify a single payment method, so Samsung is entitled to send the creators of the iPhone their billion dollars in the way they deem best. 

This dirty but genius geek troll play is a new headache to Apple executives as they will need to put in long hours counting all that money, to check if it is all there and to try to deposit it crossing fingers to hope a bank will accept all the coins.
Lee Kun-hee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, told the media that his company is not going to be intimidated by a group of “geeks with style” and that if they want to play dirty, they also know how to do it.

You can use your coins to buy refreshments at the little machine for life or melt the coins to make computers, that’s not my problem, I already paid them and fulfilled the law.
A total of 20 billion coins, delivery hope to finish this week.
